It is desired to obtain an erect image of an object using concave mirror of focal length of 12 cm. What should be the range of distance of an object placed in front of the mirror.
Will the image smaller or large than the object? Draw ray diagram to show the formation of image in the case.
Where will the image of an object be if it is place d 24cm in front of the mirror? Draw ray diagram for this situation also to justify your amswet

Range would be between the pole of the mirror and principal focus i.e. between 0 cm - 12 cm.
Image will be larger than the object as it is formed behind the mirror.
If object is placed at centre of curvature i.e. at 24 cm the the image will be real and inverted and of same size. It will be formed at 24 cm from the mirror.
Thank you
