When H2S gas is passed through Cu(NO3)2 solution​ then CuS and HNO3 are formed.

- When hydrogen sulphide (H2S) gas is reacted with copper nitrate solution (Cu(NO3)2) , then copper sulphide (CuS) and nitric acid (HNO3) are formed.

- The chemical reaction can be depicted as follows :

H2S + Cu(NO3)2 ---> CuS + 2HNO3
