HCl or hydrochloric acid is secreted in our stomach to kill the unwanted bacteria who enter in our stomach from food.
Also our stomach makes an enzyme pepsin to digest protein but pepsin only works in acidic medium so HCl makes the stomach acidic so that pepsin can act on food.
If HCl will be absent, many unwanted bacteria will enter our stomach and can make us sick.
Also it will become hard for pepsin to act on food as it needs an acidic medium and onlu HCl can make it in stomach.

Hydrochloric acids break down proteins into a simpler form and kill any bacteria present in food. So, the lack of hydrochloric will cause some serious health issues in our bodies. This will have a negative impact on the body ability to properly digest and absorb nutrients.
