What happens when metal react with steam?

As they are highly energetic, it bifurcates the metal hydroxide into metal oxide and hydrogen gas.. If a metal reacts with cold water, you get the metal hydroxide. If it reacts with steam, the metal oxide is formed. ... If a metal reacts with cold water, you get the metal hydroxide.

most of the metals are there that doesn't reacts with steam but many of the metals are there which reacts with steam

METALS LIKE ZINC ALSO MELT THROUGH STEAM
