When MnO2 is heated with the aluminium then aluminium oxide and manganese is produced

• The equation would be

4Al + MnO2 --> 2Al2O3+ 3 Mn

• Here four mol of aluminium and one

mole of manganese oxide is used and two mole of aluminium oxide and only three moles of manganese is formed.

This reaction can be written as

4Al + MnO2 = 2Al2O3+ 3 Mn

because here the balance of both side is same

there are same amount of each and every compound.
