The rays of light reflect off the curve surface at an angle given by the tangent to the surface at each point of reflection. That is, for each point on the curve, light falling on that point forms an angle with the tangent to the curve. That is the angle of incidence, the angle of reflection is opposite and equal, so that is where the light goes. This happens at each point, so the reflected light is not parallel
