When sulphur is burned  In air it gets converted into sulphur dioxide and hydrogen gas is evolved the substance obtained is then basic in nature

                          in the presence of heat

Sulphur +air ------------------------------------>sulphur dioxide

Sulphur dioxide+ water ------------>red litmus turns to blue

Kelsis: The answer is perfect but what about the equation after sulphur dioxide is produced and the water is mixed... I always get confused in this part... BTW thanks for the answer
4173stkabirdin: Now is it ok as I have edited it
Kelsis: Thanks
