What happens when the external pressure applied becomes more than the osmotic pressure of solution?

In the osmosis the molecules travels from the higher pressure zone to the lower pressure zone , in order to maintain an equilibrium state. In the cases where the external pressure becomes greater than the osmosis pressure ,the direction of the molecules transportation also changes oppositely.
