When the switch is in 'on' position and 'off' position, the following things will occur -

• Switch is an electrical device which is used to control the flow of electricity in the electrical circuit.

• When a switch is in the 'on' position it allows the electricity flow to enter the main electrical circuit and the circuit becomes a closed circuit.

• On the other hand, when a switch is in the 'off' position it blocks the electricity flow from entering the main electrical i and the circuit becomes an open circuit.

Answer:

All switches do the same thing: Connect wires to allow electric current to flow or disconnect wires to stop electric current from flowing. With the switch in the open position, you have a disconnected wire, and no current can flow.

Explanation:

Similarly, what happens in the wires when you close the switch? When the switch is closed, a closed loop path is created in the circuit. If there is any source or charged capacitors present in it then a current starts flowing as soon as the switch is closed. It basically means when u switch on a light on you are actually switching off the internal circuit so as to let the bulb on.  Keeping this in view, what is switch in off position?  When a switch is in OFF position, (i) circuit starting from the positive terminal of the cell stops at the switch.  What is ACC ignition position ? ACC – Accessory position that provides power to electrical accessories only, not the engine. RUN – The “ON” position that provides power to the engine and electrical accessories. The switch must be in this position for the engine to run and for the vehicle to be driven.
