  • Prejudice refers to the preconceived notion we have about a particular group, individual, sex, gender etc.
  • Stereotypes are notions which are common in society about something which may or may not be accurate.
  • Both are not based on rational or logical thinking.
  • Such notions may have a bad impact on the society.
  • The marginalized groups will never be able to enter into the mainstream and it would prove detrimental for their well being.
  • Since these notions are mostly negative, they might also create instability and chaos.
