Hey friend!!

Here's ur answer...

==============================

When we add water to any acid, it's concentration decreases and it becomes a dilute acid.
For example. Adding water to HCl (hydrochloric acid)

HCl + H2O ---------------->in it the concentration of the hydronium ions decreases.

Hope it may help you...

Thank you :) :))

If the acid fully dissociates in water (i.e. a strong acid) , then in either case you will get a solution of H3O+ ions and the anion of the acid e.g.;-

HCl + H2O ——-> H3O+ + Cl-

If the acid only partly dissociates in water (i.e. a weak acid) then you will get a solution of the undissociated acid, H3O+ ions and the anion of the acid e.g.:-

CH3COOH + H2O <----> CH3COO- + H3O+

Whenever protons (H+) react with water to form hydronium ions (H3O+), energy is released. Strong acids, which dissociate rapidly and completely, may liberate a large amount of H+ ions in a very short time. This will result in the resultant solution becoming very hot. So hot in fact, that the solution may boil if a large amount of acid is added to a smaller amount of water. This is particularly true for concentrated sulphuric acid.
