When we heat phosphorus with NaOH solution then we will obtain the phosphine.
This is less stable and hence will react easily with the other materials.
When we will heat in the inert gas environment then sodium hypophosphite – 3NaH2PO2 and phosphine PH3 will be formed and the reaction will be disproportionation in nature.
