Krishna River is one of the longest river in India.
The river roses from Maharashtra state and then finally meets bay of Bengal.
There was a dispute between 3 states regarding distribution of water in Maharastra,AP and Karnatake.
So According to the agreement now a particular amount of water will given to each state.

In 10th April 1969, the contribution tribunal was made to adjudicate the utilization of water among the main basin start river of Godavari and Krishna.
They used the Interstate River Water Dispute Act provision in such situation that was started under the 1956 Act.
