Sponge is the substance which has many pores but still holds water.
- Sponge is made up of cellulose, hemp fiber and Na₂SO₄ crystals.
- The cellulose we need is extracted from the wood pulp.
- Once we extract the cellulose, we need to soak it in the chemical mixture, to make it soft.
- Then, we add the fiber and Sodium sulphate crystals to the softened cellulose and put the complete mixture in a large blender that blends the mixture thoroughly.
- The crystals which leave the cellulose during the blending process leave the pores behind.
