Answer:

c-14 have the same number of electrons and protons as of c-12 . The difference is the number of Neutrons . Hence , the c-14 haves 8 neutrons while c-12 haves 6 neutrons only . Hence , the c-14 goes over a decay at a known rate to form c-12 once again .

Answer:

C-12 contains 6 protons and 6 neutrons and is a stable isotope of carbon.

C-14 atoms have 6 protons and 8 neutrons.

C-14 forms in the upper atmosphere when cosmic rays enter the upper atmosphere, forming neutrons that collide with N-14 atoms and covert them to C-14 .
