Banyan tree don't have lungs! They absorb CO2 through their stomates, or small cells, in their leaves and they convert sunlight into energy and release oxygen.

Stomata help them to breathe a Banyan tree. Stomata is a part of plant which is present on the leaves as a tiny pore and helps the plant for breathing. These are tiny structures and it can be considered as a mouth of the plant that takes carbon dioxide from the surrounding. Stomata opens during the day time because sunlight helps in opening of these stomata and in night time it’s closed.
