Hi friend,
BeCl2 reacts with moisture present in the atmosphere to give HCl gas.
The chamical reaction is :-
BeCl2 + 2 H2O--------> Be(OH) 2 + 2 HCl .
Thus, BeCl2 is easily hydrolysized by water to give fume in the air.....i hope it helps you
