Helen faced a number of difficulties in Cambridge School.

A few of them are that she was a student of a school that was for normal students, already acting as a disadvantage for her from the beginning.

Secondly, Helen always had to sacrifice her playing and dancing time to learn topics slowly, but with full concentration, while understanding it.

Thirdly, she had to always get her paper translated or read to her so she could understand the question and answer the same. In one of her exams, the school officials or teachers did not allow the paper to be read to her, so she had to wait for an hour for the paper to be translated into American braille so she could understand. (No one from the school supported her when she needed help)
