The kingdom of Brobdingnag is inhabited by people who call themselves Brobdingnagians. They are human beings who are extremely tall and about 72 feet in height! A stride covered by them is a distance of close to 10 yards. Not just humans, even the animals and just about anything else of the land appear giant size to him. However, the inhabitants are loving and kindhearted. The laws of the country are very easy and simple to abide. Civil litigation is practised and murderers are beheaded.

The farmer who finds him stranded after a shipwreck takes him home, where his daughter is impressed by him and nurses him back to health. Meanwhile, the farmer thinks he is a curious object and exhibits him to others to earn some money. Soon, the Queen hears of this and she buys him from the farmer. He becomes her favorite. Unlike his previous experience with the Lilliputians, the kingdom of Brobdingnag is hospitable and even gives him a house to stay and a boat to sail.
