what impact will building of large dams have on the water cycle?????

The  construction of multipurpose projects  across the river are very useful to the  mankind  whenever we store the water in the day, water is recharged into the ground. this  recharging  reduces the temperature on earth. atmosphere drains water from the earth as vapour and  returns it in the form of rainfall. so building of large dams will  protect the system of water cycle.
