Answer:

There are very important lessons in Indian History we should and must learn, because if we don't learn we do mistakes again and again and commit huge blunders.

Very first important lesson is given by Lord Krishna in Mahabaratha is by subtly telling "Everything is fair in War and love" which we never followed. Unfortunately we followed Ashoka and started becoming more complacent and practiced unwarranted leniency and soft approach to enemies. Chanakya said wipe out your enemies completely. Don't leave anything. We never followed, but Muslims rulers followed that and were successful in ruling India for more than five hundred years. They use to wipe out their enemies completely even their kith and kin so that no one will surface against them in future. But in a very important victorious battle Prithviraj Chauhan made the mistake of leaving the enemy Ghori alive for which he returned back with more power this time and he won the battle but he never made the same mistake, he killed his enemy. The result was India become a hunting ground for foreign powers after that. Till now we are practicing this soft attitude towards our enemies inside and outside and we are paying a huge price for that till now.

Second is fighting among ourselves which was the worst thing Indians do till now. For that we have happily cite so many reasons like Language, Caste , Religion, Creed, Community so on. We should not have this and seeing this difference enemies took a great advantage. History teach us lesson how British harvested this internal conflict. Muslim rulers stand united and defeated Vijaya nagar Empire, which was very unfortunate. A gloriuos Empire came to end. But we never took advantage of the internal conflicts between English and French in Tamilnadu and we exposed our conflicts and helped both of them instead.

There are lot of lessons in Indian history which should be carefully studied and we should not repeat the same mistakes , in fact that is the main purpose of learning Indian history (any history for that matter). I have just mentioned two lessons which i felt very important, and i believe others will also agree. Definitely there are much more lessons in History and those who possess knowledge of that , provide us their insights so that it will be helpful for all of us.

Thanks for Reading. Hope you agree with me.
