Friction is a force that slows down a motion and prevents slipping.
It helps in following ways:
1. It helps us to walk properly on the ground. It prevents our slipping. The areas covered with ice have little friction,so we often slip on the ice.
2. It helps us to write. we cannot hold a pencil when there is no friction.
3. It also helps the vehicles to move on the road. Without friction our  vehicles would run continuously and slip down

Q1) What important role does friction play in the life of human beings & animals?

<b><font color="blue">Friction plays an important role in the lives of humans and animals. We are able to walk, run and walk on the floor due to friction. Humans or animals would not be able to walk if there was no friction. It helps humans to hold things and hold their own over it.
