Lencho is a person who has a very weak and feeble mind as he was very superstitious. And this can be seen when he was compelled to write a letter to the Almighty asking for a 100 pesos. He is also a very encouraging person and has the ability to bring a ray of light in a darkened space. This can be seen when he reminded his family members, who were slowly slipping into depression, that no one dies of hunger. Lencho is also very hard working as he is described as an ox of a man in the chapter. But he was a man of strong faith and belief. However,  his ungrateful attitude is exposed in the end when he was not at all content with amount of money that he had got.

in the story post master had dull personality. we saw his behaviour is insensitively and in differently to Ali before he went through Ali-like pain and suffering .however after going from pain of separation from his own daughter ,his arrogance was completely transformed into sympathetic for Ali
