As Gandhi violeted the order to leave} \\ \text{ Champaran,it became a matter of civil disobedience} \\ \text{ and he was summoned to arrive the court. Gandhi} \\ \text{ cleverly telegraphed his influential friends and sent} \\ \text{ instructions to the ashram. Even he wired a full } \\ \text{report to the Viceroy.}</p><p>$

Their spontaneous} \\ \text{ demonstration made the court authority to free } \\ \text{ Gandhi without any punishment. Many prominent } \\ \text{lawyers had come from Bihar to advise and help } \\ \text{Gandhi. Gandhi asked them what they would} \\ \text{ have done if he had been sent to the jail. At first} \\ \text{ they said that they would have gone back to } \\ \text{Bihar as their advice had not any use. But later} \\ \text{ Rajendra Prasad replied that they would follow} \\ \text{ him into the jail. This support from the lawyers} \\ \text{ made Gandhi extremely happy and confident.} \\ \text{ This confidence led him to exclaim that, "The } \\ \text{ battel of Champaran is won".}$
