Explanation:

It is the S.I. Unit of Work. It is denoted by J. We have, J = F×S = Nm OR Newton×Metre......(i)

From the formula, we can define Joule or 1 Joule.

So..1 Joule can be said when an object applies a force of 1 Newton on something and have it moved through a distance of 1 m.

Because....Let Force,F = 1 N

and Distance, S = 1 m.

Now, evaluating the values in equation (i).

J=1×1 .... J=1

Hence, Proved..!!
