8 is written as 2√2

see its simple ,

√8 = √ 2 × 2 × 2

we have to pair the no:s , here only one pair can be formed , hence , the pair formed is taken out as 2 .
and the remaining 2 , is left inside

hence ,

8 = 2√2

here there are 2 pairs of 2 , so , we would take two 2s common from both the pairs .
Also a 2 remains
hence ,
