35² = (3*4)25 = 1225

Let a5 be the number, whose tens digit is a and units digit is 5 .

a5² can be written (a) (a+1) 5²

This can be used to do the squares ending with digit 5 . When we go to large numbers like 102565 it's square can't be calculated like this as calculating 10256*10257 takes a lot of time.
But this is valid for all such numbers.

1005² = (100*101)5² = 1010025
75² = (7*8)25 = 5625 .

Hope helped!

square of any number ending with 5
1. Take first digit = 3
2. Add 1 in it = 4
3. Now multiply the first number and new number = 4*3=12
4. Now put the square of 5 at the last of a number = 1225
hence, the square of 35 = 1225
