The brain is the control center of our body and it helps UST to respond to various situations, thinks and controls all of our actions. It has 3 main parts - cerebrum, cerebellum and medulla oblongata

→Brain is the highest coordinating center in the body.
→The brain is located inside the skull of our body (at the top of the spinal cord).
→It is protected by a bony box in the skull called cranium.
→The Brain is surrounded by three membranes called meninges, which help to protect it.
→ The space between the membranes (or meninges) is filled with a cerebrospinal fluid which protects the brain from mechanical shocks.
→Pairs of cranial nerves arise from the brain.
♠WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF BRAIN ?
ANS:-
→The brain is broadly divided into three regions : forebrain , midbrain and hindbrain.
→ The forebrain consists mainly of cerebrum.
→ The midbrain does not have any further divisions.
→ The hindbrain consists of three centers called pons, cerebellum and medulla.
