cooperatives are the organization that are made by government or any group of individuals . till several decades cooperatives helped the peoples in various ways to provide the product at cheap prices...India is a economic backward country and most of the GDP share within rural or  you may say agriculture sector. So in order to develop our country we have to develop rural sector. But there are still problems in rural sector like illiteracy or unemployment.so cooperatives provide poor people their products at cheap rates. Like AMUL and Mother dairy sell their products at reasonable prices .and it leads to the development.
