A concave lens is the lens which converges a beam of ray of light after refraction through it.There are 3 types of concave lens.Those names are:-
1.Bi-concave -whose both sides are concave.
2.Plano-Concave -whose one side is plane and the other concave.
3.Convex-o-concave -whose one side is convex and the other concave.

concave lens is also known as diverging lens . it is used in spectacles, cameras , lasers etc . it is thinner at the center than at the edges
