What are conjunctions?

Words that connect two or more sentences are known as conjunctions. Examples : And, neither, either, nor, yet and so on.

Few sentences :

  • The cat is under the table. It is playing with wool

The cat is under the table and is playing with wool

  • I don't like reading, I don't like writing.

I don't like reading, neither do I like writing.

  • I don't like him. I speak to him.

I don't like him yet I speak to him.

There are 3 types of Conjunctions :

  1. Subordinating Conjunctions.
  2. Coordinating Conjunctions.
  3. Correlative Conjunctions
