Hey user,
WHAT IS A CONSTITUTION....
A constitution is a body of fundamental rules according to which the government of a country functions.

IMPORTANCE......
India is a vast country with various physical cultural and social diversities. Different people belonging to different regions, who speak different languages, have very different lifestyles.Though different in beliefs and actions they have many things in common. Yet, they may or may not agree on all the issues. Therefore the constitution provides a set of rules, principles and laws acceptable to almost all, as the basis of life and governance of the country. It is a multipurpose document which caters to our needs, requirements, future aspirationsand ideals set before us.
hope it helps:)

Answer:

Constitution is defined as the supreme law that determines the relationship among the citizens and its country and also the relationship between the people and government. It is a set of written rules that are accepted by all people living together in a country.

A constitution is necessary because of the following reasons -:

  1. It is an important law of land. It determines the relationship of the citizens with the governments.
  2. It lays down principles and guidelines which are required for people belonging to different ethnic and religious groups to live in harmony.
  3. It specifies on how the government would be elected and who will have the power and responsibility to take important decisions.
  4. It outlines the limits on the powers of the government and tells us about the rights of the citizens.
  5. It expresses the aspirations of the people about creating a good society.
