A spherical mirror that is polished from outside and the inner surface acts as a reflecting surface is called a concave mirror.

It forms both real and virtual image , enlarged or diminished image depending on the distance between the object and the mirror.

It forms a inverted image if real and upright image if virtual.

A spherical mirror that is polished from the inside and the outer surface acts as a reflecting surface is called a concex mirror.

It forms only virtual image that is upright and diminished from the real object . It does not depend on the place of the object
