What is a cubit? Why can it not be a standard unit of measurement?

an ancient measure of length, approximately equal to the length of a forearm. It was typically about 18 inches or 44 cm, though there was a long cubit of about 21 inches or 52 cm.

Jyoti1711: Cubits make as much sense as feet, inches, miles, furlongs, etc. We still use stone-age measures in the USA because merchants like to keep consumers confused.

cubit is the measurement starts from the tip of middle finger till the elbow of the person's hand. It is not taken as a standard measurement due to it based on the hand of the person, and a person can contains small hand as well as big hand right.
