defining characteristic of a short story means in the story there are characters and you have to rite about them sone positive and some negative points you have to describe them according to the story

first think wt u want Ur story be like
then make some points in which Ur whole story is complete
then suggest a title for it
then start ur story
then the climax of the story
then the falling action
and in last the conclusion.
write some dialogues in it (not much).
give names to Ur characters.
move according to the story that u hv thought in starting.
don't write very big sentences.
use full-stops.
use (" ") to write dialogues.
