what is a dwarf planet .explain in detail.actually i am not able to understand thus definition .Can any one explain me this clearly

that celestial body which have enough mass to control itself from gravity but which is far away from solar system is termed as dwarf planet .
example: Pluto
which was in solar system till 2009
now it is moving outside of solar system

according to IAU ,a dwarf planet has the following criteria;
•It is in orbit around the sun.
•It is heavy enough to create its own gravity.
•It has not cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit,i.e.,it has not become gravitationally dominant &it shares its orbital space with other smaller bodies.
•It is not a satellite of a planet.
Pluto,which was considered to be a planet since its discovery in 1930,was reclassified as a 'dwarf planet'on 24 aug,2006 by the international astronomical Union (IAU)..
As of 2012,there were five known dwarf planets–Eris,Pluto,Haumea,Makemake,and Ceres
