i think the answer is that an electric bell is a mechanical bell that functions by means of an electromagnet. When an electric current is applied, it produces a repetitive buzzing or clanging sound.

An electric bell contains an electromagnet, consisting of coils of insulated wire wound round iron rods. When an electric current flows through the coils, the rods become magnetic and attract a piece of iron attached to a clapper. The clapper hits the bell and makes it ring.

i hope it help u .

☺☺ HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ☺☺

Construction: Electric bell is made up of an electromagnet, bell ( metallic cup ), a soft iron stripe, and a contact screw. A soft iron strip works as a small hammer.

Working : When the circuit is switched on, an electric current returns in the battery after passing through the electromagnet, a soft iron strip and a contact screw.

While passing a current through an electromagnet. it acts as a magnet and attracts an iron strip.

An iron strip (hammer) being elastic. it strikes with the bell. Simultaneously its contact with a contact screw is broken.

The current flows through electromagnet stops. The iron strip comes in contact with the screw by obtaining its original position and again the electric current passes through an elect magnet.

This phenomenon occurs mamy times in 1 second and a hammer strikes many times with the bell, as a result, the bell rings.
