An electric cell is a source of electric current which has chemicals stored in it. In a cell chemical energy is converted into electrical energy. It has two terminals- Positive terminal and the Negative terminal. The symbol of the cell consist of positive terminal which is represented by a longer line and the negative is represented by a shorter line.

This is a breif discription of an electric cell..
