This form of salutation can be named as 'Sijda' or 'Pranama'.

These two are the names given to such salutation of kneeling and touching the ground with the forehead, by a person, in order to show respect to any other person.

The salutation by 'Sijda' was a form of respect formulated by Balban as a way of paying respect to the King. This was the Balban's theory Kingship.
