TYPES OF HABITAT- Geographic habitat types (terrestrial, freshwater, marine, desert)  include polar, temperate, subtropical and tropical. The terrestrial vegetation type may be forest,  grassland, or desert. Fresh-water habitats include marshes, streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds; marine habitats include salt marshes, the coast, etc.

Habitats can change too. The contributory factors of animals losing their homes are as follows- 1. Deforestation 2. Change in weather patterns- precipitation, solar radiation, etc. 3. Increased predation
