What is a linear equation representing a line which is parallel to the x axis and is at distance of 5
units above x-axis?

Equation of a line parallel to x-axis is :

y = a (where a is given unit distance)

∴ equation : y = 5

⇒ y - 5 = 0 (this is required equation of line)
