Hi friend........

A litmus paper is an indicator for determining that substances are either Acidic Or Basic Or Neutral. It is made up of lichens ( symbiotic relationship between algae and fungi). There are three kinds of litmus paper :- blue ( which is used to show acids) , red ( which is used to show bases) & pink which is used to show both acids and bases). The litmus paper indicates the acidity or the basic properties of substances by changing colour to red ( acid ) or blue ( base) or no change ( neutral )

Litmus paper is a indicator used to test the objects whether it is acidic or basic or neutral in nature.
There are two kinds of litmus papers they r blue añd red.if blue turns into red it is acidic in nature.if red turns into blue is basic in nature.
