A noun is a naming word or a part of speech that names a person, place, things and quality.
It's important because refer to places, objects and people. Without nouns, we can't make sentence. And also we will be left with verbs, adjectives and adverbs.
There are 4 types of noun.
Names given to common things around us is known as common noun.
For ex dog, school, women.
A proper noun is the name that given of a particular person, place.
For example Taj mahal, Mahabharata.
Material noun are names of material from which objects are made.
For example wood, ice, gold, cement.
The name given to a group of people animals or things of one kind is called Collective noun.
For example collection, fleet, pack.
A collective noun is mostly referred to in the singular form but sometimes a plural form may be used.

- A MATERIAL NOUN is the word used for the substance of which things are made.

1. Countable Nouns
- Countable nouns are nouns we can count as individual units.
- They usually have a singular and plural form.

2. Uncountable Nouns
- Some nouns cannot be counted these nouns are called uncountable nouns.
- They can be used only in the singular. They usually do not have a plural form.
Examples : Ink , milk , Water, bread , hair etc.
ABSTRACT NOUNS ( names for ideas or qualities ) are uncountable nouns.
