  1. The Nyaya Panchayats shall follow persuasion, conciliation and mediation as means to resolve disputes.
  2. Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, the Nyaya Panchayat shall have powers to regulate its own procedure including the place at which it shall have its sittings.
  3. The Gram Nyayalaya shall be a mobile court and shall exercise the powers of both Criminal and Civil Courts.
