Possessive Case is also called the genitive case. It shows possession or ownership or occupation.
Possessive case is formed by either by adding ( 's) or only an apostrophe ( ' )
Possessive adjectives- my our, his, her, your, their, its,
Possessive pronouns- mine, ours, his, hers, yours, theirs.
Examples:
When the noun is in the singular form-
1. This is Ram's book.
2. That boy's book was stolen.
4. The cat is Mary's pet.
5. This is boys' school and that is girls' school.
