quadilater is a simple closed figure formed by four line segement in a plane

quadrilateral is a shape (closed figure) (polygon) which consists of 4 points in a plane which are connected together and not any three of the points are collinear.
In other words its a closed shape with only 4 sides (edges).
for example : square, rectangle, rhombus, lite, etc
