The quantum numbers------
First quantum number is the principle quantum number n
which can have any positive integer value....
n=1,2,3,...........
In the Bhor's atomic model.....
it represents the energy level of each electron.......
each orbital will have a value of n
nd'larger the value is,farther it will be from nucleus.......
Next quantum number is the angular momentum l
it can have value from 0 to n-1...
(l) describes the shape of orbitals.......
∆Magnetic quantum number
m sub l
m= -l.......l
it can have the value from negative l positive l
Last Quantum number....... spin quantum number....
m(s)= +1/2 or -1/2
every electron in an atom have a unique set of quantum numbers....
no 2 electrons in an atom can hv precisely same quantum quantum number sets.......
it is stated by the Pauli exclusion principle...
