What is a Rheostat? Give it's one usage.

Rheostat is a device made up of standard resistance wires like Constanta and Manganin used to increase or decrease the resistance in a circuit. They are used to decrease current in a circuit, for example on dimming bulbs, etc.

They are denoted by '/\/\/\/\' symbol.
