Secular states are countries where the government does not recognize any religion or faith as official, and accepts and treats all religions equally. An example is India.
A non secular state, on the contrary, recognizes one religion as a ' state religion ', and usually imposes it on all its citizens, and it can be reflected in its laws. There could be many types of non secular states, such as theocracies, republics of that religion ( Eg. Islamic Republic ) etc.
