Hi
A subcontinent is a large distinguishable part of a continent, such as North America or the part of Asia containing India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
The Indian subcontinent is a southern region of Asia, mostly situated on the Indian Plate and projecting southwards into the Indian Ocean from the Himalayas.
Ahmedabad and Kolkata are able to seethe noon Sun exactyoverhead twice a year.
This is because during the year, the latitude at which the sun is directly overhead cycles between the tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricorn. Any place within the tropics will see the sun overhead at noon twice each year.
